St. George, UTAH, September 28, 2012 – Red Mountain Resort, the premier active destination retreat in Southwest Utah, recently announced the appointment of Chad Luethje as their new Executive Chef. Bringing over 25 years of work experience at high- end luxury resorts, Luethje returns to Red Mountain Resort to resume his former role.
Chef Luethje will be responsible for all aspects of Food & Beverage operations at the resort, including the conceptualization of all menus using creative and healthy new gourmet recipes, leading cooking classes and working with the resort's wellness team to create specialized meal plans for guests. Luethje will orchestrate flavors, presentation, variety and nutrition to create award- winning cuisine for guests every day. Additionally, Leuthje will reinforce the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
"We are very excited to welcome back Chef Luethje," said Tracey Welsh, General Manager of Red Mountain Resort. "We are confident that he will spearhead successful culinary initiatives and will continue to create meals that are not only delicious, but are also nutritious and ensure guests' overall well-being.
Raised by health conscious vegetarian parents, Luethje learned early on to appreciate a healthy lifestyle. His interest in healthy, yet gourmet cuisine was further enhanced when he joined the Red Mountain Resort team in 2004. "I am thrilled to be back at the beautiful Red Mountain Resort," said Luethje. "It's very satisfying to help guests make significant changes in their lives around food, or to just become more comfortable in the kitchen, and Red Mountain's wellness philosophy allows me to do that."

Prior to that, he served as the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage at Red Mountain from 2004 through 2008.
